  • We always have a great time at Buffalo Wild Wings. Always good, friendly and attentive service. Cold beer and spicy wings. Lots of TV's showing sports. There is an equal sized restaurant and bar side of the Guelph location. It sometimes gets a little loud there, but we bring kids and they don't mind and the noise helps drown out our kids when they get unruly.

First off, would like to note that if it was possible to give zero stars for this restaurant I would be. Was back in Guelph, and decided I would meet up with a couple of friends for lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. Since none of us had ever been there, we thought we would give it a chance. Safe to say it was one of the worst decisions we have made in our life. We went on Sunday afternoon, expecting it not to be too busy, and just as we thought it wasn't. Other than ourselves, there was only really one other group present in the restaurant that was of a notable size. Of course logically, in an almost vacant restaurant the clearly intelligent server seats us right next to the other loud group. After having to yell our drink orders to the server, we proceeded to wait about 15 minutes just for our drinks. Hope none of my friends were thirsty to say the least. After our drinks arrived, we were not even given the chance to order our food, the waiter almost just tossed our drinks on us and walked away, we then saw the waiter walk out side the door to have a cigarette break. Clearly, he does not expect people to order food at a restaurant, our mistake for thinking we could. At this point when the waiter returned, we only knew he was approaching due to the smell of cigarette on his clothes. At this point I was willing to look past the smell, as I was so hungry but still hadn't even gotten to order yet. After experiencing second hand smoke, and bad breathe that reeked of cigarette, I almost wished I had left before I put my order in, or my waiter's second smoke break. We ordered four simple meals, three hamburgers and one order of nachos. Thought it should be simple enough, and fast enough to cook my waiter will not have to wait too long to have another smoke break (third ones the charm!). We then continued to wait about 45 minutes for our food, and still were basically the only people in the restaurant. At this point the other group of people had finished up and left (almost wish I left with them). To occupy ourselves, my friends and I made bets on how many smoke breaks our waiter would take while we were here. Have never been so neglected, I almost felt as ignored as I was in High School, and the waiter was the cool kid (even though smoking does not make you cool). To our surprise our food finally made it to the table, we all were ready eat but shockingly our food was cold. Our food was probably ready at the beginning of the waiters smoke break and he forgot, we lost this battle again. With not wanting to waste anymore time, we decided to stick with the cold food. But after biting in I again was horrified to see my burger was under cooked, see below for picture I took while I was there. I did not know it was hard to cook a burger, but this chef clearly mastered an unheard of trait... cooking food to be cold, and under cooked. Chef must of been going out for the smoke breaks too and forgot about my meal. Wondering if he decided cooking it with a Bic's lighter would make for a better flame than an industrial oven. Finally was delighted to see a manager around, as at this point I thought he did not exist. He was walking around the dining area, and asked us how our meal was. I don't think he expected to hear such unimpressed comments, as it seemed he did not even take our comments seriously. We told him waited an hour for our food, and all he could mumble was "sorry, it is busy" as he stood in his vacant dining room. We then proceeded to show him the raw meat and he said "oh wow well sorry maybe just eat around it"... thanks for the food poisoning. Not sure how regulars to this restaurants are still alive with these cooking standards. After finally getting the debit machine after thirty minutes of having the bill, we were finally able to pay. To state the obvious we did not tip. After the waiter collected the debit bills, he went to a fellow coworker and loudly said "zero tips from those idiots" almost as if he wanted us to hear. Upon leaving, we saw about 7 cigarette buts outside, clearly the waiters.

Service isn't the greatest at this location and is a little slow. We had to get the host to look for our server because we were already waiting for 15 minutes. By the time our server came to our table to ask us for drinks, we already had a good look at the menu and knew what we wanted to order. The host sitting us down was more friendly than the servers here. Food was decent, some of the wings had either too much sauce on it or it was too dry. However, I went a little later in the evening so they gave us a couple extra wings, which was nice.
