  Talk about a blast from the past, this place doesn't look like it's been painted or dusted for 20 or 30 years. I always passed by this place and thought it was a bar or a restaurant with the blacked out windows and huge Angelinos sign, no idea it was a fruit market. Anyway, I was with a friend and she stopped to get some fruit and when we walked in I was surprised how dated and dreary this place was. It looks like it is ready to fall down as nobody has bothered to spend a dime to update the place since it was built in the 70's?? The shelves are bare and there is not much to choose from. For an italian 'market' there was nothing italian about it, no selection of gourmet pastas, olive oils, coffees or gelatos... amazed it's still open. I bought some green grapes and some Fuji apples and after eating them I had stomach pains and the runs. I think it was all the petroleum wax on the fruit. The stuff added that makes them shine and extends the shelf life or something. I was not expecting to be in pain after eating their food and would advise avoiding this dump and stick to the grocery store. This place was probably nice 30 years ago but now it's just a mess.

  Clean, friendly staff, more expensive than larger grocery stores but like supporting family o/o business. Like the lunch they cook up for take out....wish butcher was around when I go in

  Very friendly staff and excellent food. I've had excellent take out dinners here and a few lunch time stops for a sandwich and salad. Love this place. Get their meatballs, you won't be sorry!

  Have shopped at this location since I was a little girl and these owners and staff transport me back in time. The produce and meat and everything else they sell is of the highest quality. It is wonderful being able to buy the things my mother and my nonna always bought here. Especially the seasonal delicacies! Thank you Charlie , Vicki and staff for continuing the tradition of being a local Italian store! Grazie.

  Really good spot for a quick 'to go' lunch. Pizza, pasta and sandwiches are all great choices. You get a lot of food for your money. They have a selection of tasty baked goods and desserts as well. Their produce is immaculate but you definitely pay for the quality
